Gwalior

Gwalior is a city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It's known for its palaces and temples, including the Sas Bahu Ka Mandir intricately carved Hindu temple. Ancient Gwalior Fort occupies a sandstone plateau overlooking the city and is accessed via a winding road lined with sacred Jain statues. Within the fort’s high walls is the 15th-century Gujari Mahal Palace, now an archaeological museum.

Morena

Morena is a town and a district in the Indian state of northern Madhya Pradesh. The place gets its name from "mor" and "raina"- which means a place where peacocks are found in abundance and is home to the largest number of peacocks in India.

Datia

Datia is famous for its religious sites, such as the Pitambara Peeth (a major Shakti Peeth), the ancient Vankhandeshwar temple, and the Jain pilgrimage center at Sonagiri. The city also boasts impressive historic architecture, particularly the Bundela-style Bir Singh Palace. Additionally, Datia is a traditional market center for food grains and cotton products and a noted hub for handloom weaving.

Jhansi

Jhansi is a historic city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Balwant Nagar was the old name of Jhansi. It lies in the region of Bundelkhand, on the banks of the Pahuj River, in the extreme south of Uttar Pradesh. Jhansi is the administrative headquarters of Jhansi district and Jhansi division.

Khajuraho

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments are a group of Hindu and Digambara Jain temples in Chattarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, India. They are about 46 km from Chattarpur city, the district headquarter, 283 km from Gwalior, 175 kilometers southeast of Jhansi, 10 kilometers from Khajwa and 9 kilometers from Rajnagar.

Orchha

Orchha is a town near the city of Niwari in the Niwari district of Madhya Pradesh state, India. The town was established by a Bundela Rajput ruler Rudra Pratap Singh sometime after 1501, as the seat of an eponymous former princely state including parts of central and north India, in the Bundelkhand region.

Mitawali

The Chausath Yogini temple is in Mitaoli village (also spelled Mitawali or Mitawali), near Padaoli in Morena district 40 kilometers (25 mi) from Gwalior. According to an inscription dated to 1323 CE (Vikram Samvat 1383), the temple was built by the Kachchhapaghata king Devapala.

Bateshwar

Bateshwar is a village in Agra District, on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Bateshwar is in between Agra and Etawah and is 8 km from Bah. It is an important spiritual and cultural center for Hindus and Jains. It is known for the 101 Shiv Temple Complex.

Jahangir Mahal

Jahangir Mahal most commonly refers to a 17th-century palace in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh, built by Raja Bir Singh Deo to honor the visit of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. Built to blend Indo-Islamic and Hindu architecture, it is a three-storied palace with numerous chambers, courtyards, and domes, constructed from red and yellow sandstone. It should not be confused with the Jahangiri Mahal inside Agra Fort, a palace for Akbar's wives, though it was later occupied by Jahangir's wife, Nur Jahan.

Raja Mahal

"Raja Maha" is not a single entity but a combination of the Sanskrit words "Raja" (meaning "king" or "ruler") and "Maha" (meaning "great"), often found in compound terms like Maharaja, a "great king". It can also refer to a specific Raja Maha Vihara, which is a type of ancient Buddhist temple complex, particularly in Sri Lanka, such as the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara or the Mulgirigala Raja Maha Vihara. Additionally, it could be a misspelling or shortened form of a specific person's name, like the historical figure Raja Maharaj Singh, a former governor.

Sheesh Mahal

"Sheesh Mahal" (Mirror Palace) is a common name for several palace structures with intricate mirror work, most notably the Mughal-era Sheesh Mahal within the Agra Fort, the Sheesh Mahal at Lahore Fort, the newly reopened Mughal-era Sheesh Mahal in Delhi's Shalimar Bagh, and the Sheesh Mahal in Patiala's Moti Bagh Palace. The term can also refer to a controversial government residence built for Delhi's former Chief Minister in 2025.
