Bhopal
Bhopal is a city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It's one of India’s greenest cities. There are two main lakes, the Upper Lake and the Lower Lake. On the banks of the Upper Lake is Van Vihar National Park, home to tigers, lions and leopards. The State Museum has fossils, paintings and rare Jain sculptures. Taj-ul-Masjid is one of Asia’s largest mosques, with white domes, minarets and a huge courtyard.

Sanchi
Sanchi is an ancient Buddhist heritage site located near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, India, known for the Sanchi Great Stupa, an iconic 3rd-century BCE monument built by Emperor Ashoka, along with other stupas, Ashoka pillars, temples, and monasteries that collectively document the history of Buddhism from the 3rd century BCE to the 12th century CE.

Gohar Mahal
Gohar Mahal is a historic palace in Bhopal, India, built in 1820 by Qudisiya Begum, the first female ruler of the region. Located on the banks of the Upper Lake, it is a significant landmark symbolizing the city's rich past and features a mix of Hindu and Mughal architectural styles. Today, it serves as a venue for cultural exhibitions and traditional crafts, offering visitors a glimpse into Bhopal's history and architecture.

Shaukat Mahal
Shaukat Mahal was constructed in the 1830s as a wedding gift for Sikander Jehan Begum, the first full-fledged female ruler of Bhopal. It is an integral part of the famous royal quadrangle of Bhopal around the Iqbal Maidan, earlier known as Khirniwala Maidan.

Bharat Bhavan
Bharat Bhavan is an autonomous multi-arts complex and museum in Bhopal, India, established and funded by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The architect of the Bharat Bhavan is Charles Correa.
Mankind Museum
This is an anthropology museum. IGRMS sprawls over 200 acres on the Shamla Hills by the Upper Lake and displays humanity's journey through time and space.

Gyaraspur
Gyaraspur was of considerable importance in medieval India. The place has several ruins of several old Hindu, Jain and Buddhist places of worship. These include Maladevi Temple, Hindola Torna and the Bajramath Surya Temple.

Maladevi Temple
The Maladevi Temple is not in Bhopal, but rather in the village of Gyaraspur, about 35 km from Vidisha and roughly 100 km from Bhopal. It is a 9th-10th century partially rock-cut, partially structural temple built by the Partihara kings. The temple is known for its location on a cliff edge, its intricate carvings, and its status as a protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India.
Hindola Torna
The Hindola Torana is not in or near Bhopal, but is a beautiful, freestanding 10th-century gateway located in Gyaraspur, Madhya Pradesh. It was once the entrance to a Vishnu temple, and its inclined pillars, richly carved with Hindu deities like Vishnu's incarnations (Dashavatara), give it the name Hindola, meaning "swing". The site is easily reachable by road from Vidisha or Bhopal, about 100 km from Bhopal.
Bajramath Temple
The Bajramath Temple is located in Gyaraspur, near Vidisha, and is NOT in Bhopal. This 10th-century site was originally a Hindu monastery dedicated to Shaivism, Vishnu, Brahma, and Ganesh, featuring elaborate carvings of gods and mythological scenes. It was later converted into a Jain temple, now housing Tirthankar idols within its three sanctums.
